Turtles: Spring Term 1 Update
Welcome back after half term, we hope that you had a restful break. We are really excited for the new half term, as we have lots of fun and exciting activities planned.
Last term we really enjoyed our trip to Drayton Manor for the ‘Magical Christmas’ extravaganza. We had so much fun on the rides and we loved watching the 4D Ice Age show. We enjoyed the school Christmas dinner and meeting Father Christmas. Turtle’s class performed fantastically in the Christmas Production ‘A Tribute to the Queen’! We had so much fun making the video and dancing on stage, we hope you enjoyed it too!
This half term we are focusing on the story Dear Zoo. Turtle’s class are going to create a Dear Zoo display using their creative skills! We are going to be painting, collaging and making the different animals from the story. We will also learn about the animal’s different habitats, and visit the local farm and pet shop. We will explore the different sounds of the animals and even see if we can copy some of the sounds ourselves! We will be using the story to help us learn in our English and Maths lessons.
We will continue to use the school mini bus to go out into the community and to use the bikes at Shobnall Leisure Complex. Our favourite place to visit is Morrison’s café for a drink! We will be visiting the Royal Harris to celebrate Chinese New Year, we are very exciting to try all of the delicious food.
