Seals Blog - Spring 2018 (2)
Welcome back, we hope you have all had a lovely half term break and are ready for the next 4 weeks ahead. We have had a lovely first week back, they all have all settled back into the class routines and was very happy to see our friends.
Our topic this half term is ‘Shape. In Maths we will be looking at 2D and 3D shape creating patterns and putting shapes together to create pictures. In English we will be working on following instructions making toys using junk modelling. In writing we are concentrating on writing our letter shapes. We will also join in with Easter celebrations, it will be a fun half term.
We will continue to go out on the minibus on Thursday mornings to enhance our learning and develop social skills in the community. We continue to have swimming and PE on Mondays and go to the library on Fridays to share a book and to choose a book to take home. Please could you please make sure all library books are
returned to school by Thursday , so a new book can be issued.
In Seals Class we have snack in a morning (cereals, toast and fruit) and snack in an afternoon ( biscuits, crisps, breadsticks) with juice, water and milk. If you would like your child to enjoy a variety of snacks at tuck time and participate in cooking, please could you send £1 for tuck weekly and £3 for the half term to cover the costs in cooking or alternatively £7 for the half term.
Many thanks for your continued support.
