Primary School Council: Autumn Update

The Fountains Primary School Council allows all of our children a 'voice' on important school matters. The council is made up of 1 representative from each class, from Reception up to Year 6. The current school council, were voted into their positions during the fountains elections where most of the classes came to our ‘polling station’ to submit their vote for who will be the voice of their class. It was a great experience had by all! The votes were counted, checked and verified and the elected children were announced during our special assembly. They had their first meeting last half term which involved handing out badges and tasking the newly elected to give out wellbeing questionnaires to the rest of their peers. In future meetings, the children will have the opportunity to discuss matters about their school lives. The Councilors will have the chance to make things better!
