Penguins November 2019 Blog Update

We've had a great first half term in Penguins. We learnt about ourselves including naming body parts and recognising who we and our friends are. We also looked at our families through our story ' Journey Home from Grandpa's'.

We have all loved exploring our new environment, especially the new grassy area and have been climbing on the hay and straw bales as well as creating lots of things in the mud kitchen.

We have been using a range of senses to explore the world around us and as part of our harvest celebrations, we used knives to cut the different fruits and vegetables.

Next half term, we are looking forward to our Christmas visit to Drayton Manor as well as our Christmas play.

We are looking at the changes in the seasons and the animals that we find. We are going to be using the story ; Owl Babies' to support our understanding of animals and beginning to think about how to care for living things. We will be building cosy homes for the wildlife as the weather starts to get colder.
