Octopus class - Summer Term 2
Our Faith Walk around Derby places of worship last term was a great success. Our pupils really enjoyed visiting the Sikh Gurdwara, Hindu temple and the mosque. We all walked really well between the different places of worship and enjoyed tasting some delicious food at the mosque.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the musical theatre production of the Selfish Giant; it was great fun. We have also loved being out and about on the minibus for our transport topic.
This term in our Creative curriculum pupils are learning about seaside holidays in the past and present. We are all looking forward to or seaside day which is planned for later this half term.
We are really happy to be going out to Drayton Manor and we’re looking forward to our sponsored walk at Rosliston too. Fingers crossed it stays dry. We are also planning a class trip out so watch this space…
In Forest School we had a great time last term making boats and trying to float them on our pond. Luckily all of our oats floated! This term we are taking part in the Wildlife Trust 30 Days Wild campaign for the whole of June. It is to encourage everyone to get outside more and be in nature. We will be sharing photographs of our pupils in the Wild on Twitter and on our website too.
In Mindfulness this half term we are recapping on many of the techniques we have learnt over the year.
