KS4: Spring Term 1 Update
Updated: Feb 7, 2019
KS4 had a lovely run up to Christmas, and ended the term by taking part in the upper school Christmas Service at St. Mary’s Church, Stretton. We saw fantastic performances from our pupils, and we had some very proud parents, carers and friends watching.
Other highlights have included our Vocational Studies lessons on Tuesday afternoons where pupils learn all sorts of skills that they would not usually be able to develop in a classroom.
S4AM have been visiting Morrisons with Miss Hill, to practise their shopping and money-handling skills.
Mr. Frary’s Fitness group have enjoyed being put through their paces by some fitness instructors and are now busy preparing their own fitness session to deliver to the instructors.
Mrs. Richards’ Childcare group have been learning about how to care for a baby, including what to feed them and how to change their nappies!
Mr. Allen’s group have been planning short walks around the community and have been getting out and about in Stretton.
Whilst all of this has been going on, we are as focussed as ever on developing our knowledge and working towards qualifications in a range of subjects. Many of our pupils are in the process of working towards pre-Entry, Entry Level and Level 1 qualifications and achievements. Also, several pupils are hoping to take Foundation GCSEs this summer, and in preparation for this we have our GCSE Mocks Week at the start of February. We wish the pupils the very best of luck as they move up a gear over the coming months.
