KS4 Autumn 2019 Blog Update
Updated: Jan 13, 2020
Alongside the whole school mental health awareness day on 10th October, classes in KS4 have been learning about Healthy Living in PSHE and about the importance of regular exercise for keeping the body and mind healthy. Some pupils have been learning about emotions through matching games and other practical activities, whilst other groups have been exploring these through talking.
As always in KS4, many of our pupils are working towards accreditation. In English some pupils have been studying ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ and are now completing Entry Level coursework on this. Another class has been completing a unit called Detectives which involved investigating real and fictional crime cases.
We enjoyed preparing our contributions for the school Harvest Festival which this year included an original rap from one group, acrostic poems from another, some readings about Harvest and a photography slide show showing beautiful, autumnal images. We can’t wait to get planning for the Christmas Service!
