Fountains receives life saving equipment
The Fountains Federation are proud to have received life saving equipment funded by the David Betteridge Community Defibrillator Charity.
The defibrillator will be positioned outside the Fountains Primary School and will serve both schools and the surrounding village.
Executive Headteacher, Sarah Gilraine received the equipment at the annual Christmas Fayre from David and his daughter Grace along with his partner Angela Lenaghan who is a speech and language assistant at our school.
During a six-a-side football match in September 2013, Mr Betteridge suffered a cardiac arrest moments after scoring a goal. Thankfully, he has since gone on to make a full recovery after receiving CPR at the scene from friends.
Executive Headteacher, Sarah Gilraine, said: “We are delighted to support the work of the David Betteridge Community Defibrillator Charity and we were honoured and grateful to be the fifth recipient of the device.
