Dolphins Autumn 2019 Blog Update

Updated: Jan 13

Last term we enjoyed our topic all about the Stone Age. Children read several books linked to the Stone Age. Dolphin English class thoroughly enjoyed Stig of the Dump and wrote character and setting descriptions.

In Science we learned all about different materials.

In Forest Schools and PSHE we have learned how to make fire and heated up popcorn- yummy!

We were fortunate enough to have been invited to attend the annual Statutes fair at Ashby, funded by the Lions- we all thoroughly enjoyed that!

The most exciting trips take place each Thursday in our PE sessions- and we are delighted to say that many of the children in Dolphin class managed to learn to ride a bike last term. This term we will be learning to climb – the sessions are called: ‘Clip and climb’!

This term we are looking forward to learning all about the Victorian period. We will be studying the story of Oliver Twist.

We will also be taking part in lots of different seasonal activities, including going to the theatre to watch Peter Pan.
