BRITISH VALUES STATEMENT
We believe that our vision and values makes explicit our fundamental belief in many of these values. This statement is the foundation of all our work with our students. At The Fountains Federation, we provide opportunities for pupils to explore their own culture and have a clear understanding and appreciation of a wide range of the cultural influences that have shaped modern Britain. We encourage all children to be tolerant and respectful to those of different faiths and beliefs. This is done by providing the children with an understanding of the main festivals and key dates of significance to British culture.
At Fountains everybody is encouraged to be …
Helpful and supportive of each other.
Respectful of each other and our school.
Kind and considerate.
The best they can be!
We see this being our core purpose and supports Fountains Federation to be a place where pupils are able to learn, achieve and succeed’. Behaviours which are contrary to these British values are actively challenged, whether they come from children, parents or staff. Thankfully, such instances are extremely rare and we are proud of the reputation we have in our local community and beyond.
