Artsmark is Arts Council England’s flagship programme to enable schools and other organisations to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their arts and cultural provision. Artsmark is nationally recognised as demonstrating excellence in arts and cultural provision.  Holding Artsmark status demonstrates that we values the arts and culture.


The Co-operative Identity Mark, has been designed to help ensure that the co-operative values are embedded in all aspects of a school’s practice. The Mark enables schools to share best practices across the network of co-operative schools.


Fountains Primary School are proud to have been awarded 'Full Dyslexia Friendly Status'.  The initiative has been developed in partnership with the British Dyslexia Association and is built on evidence that shows that more children are successful when taught using "dyslexia friendly "teaching methods.


An Eco School is one that promotes and adheres to the good environmental management of the school. It is awarded in recognition of good practice in environmental issues that are linked with the curriculum and used in the everyday running of the school through a variety of routes such as reducing waste, recycling to saving energy, biodiversity and healthy living.

The Healthy Schools : Healthy Futures scheme aims to tackle national health issues by promoting healthy lifestyles. The programme, run by the Staffordshire County Council and Capita Partnership Entrust, develops and improves both emotional and physical health and wellbeing for children and young people.


The Information, Advice & Guidance Quality Mark has been developed by Connexions Staffordshire, Staffordshire and Stoke-on Trent Local Authorities, Be Together Ltd and Staffordshire Partnership to recognise learning providers who reach the highest standards in providing information, advice and guidance work-related learning and careers education.


The Makaton Friendly scheme recognises local organisations and businesses that strive to make their services accessible to children and adults who use Makaton.

Learning signs for objects and instructions can aid their understanding of language and help children to learn words later on, as the signs and symbols give visual reinforcement of the words being spoken.


Fountains High School has been recognised, as one of 15 best practice schools in the country, in the national Parliamentary Review 2018-19 with an article celebrating the school success

‘The Fountains High School is a SEN school catering for pupils aged 11 to 19. They have distinguished themselves through their focus on teaching practical, real-world skills that are transferable to the world of employment. Their sixth form has received particular recognition in this area, with many students working in real-life enterprises, including a coffee shop and a garden centre. This vocational focus has not, however, come at the expense of core subjects – maths and English play an important and integrated role in students’ practical training’.


The Sainsbury's School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.


The multi-award winning 360 degree safe schools self-review online tool provides a user friendly and interactive means for schools to review their Online Safety provision and to develop an action plan to bring about improvements.
